Yeah, wish the old trains could run on the pass again but I guess it dose not make economic sense any more. However maybe someone could lease it from UP and run commuter trains over from Leadville to Vail. Half the folks who work at the resorts in Vale or Beaver Mountain live in Leadville or Buena Vista and would not have to drive Highway 24 over the Tennessee Pass every day if they rode the train. People could drive to Leadville from Denver and park there, then take the train. It is a lot less traffic to drive up from Colorado Springs to Leadville where skiers could park. I-70 from Denver is so crowded anymore on weekends it takes many hours both ways. And the interstate over Vail Pass was closed quite a few times due to snow and wrecks the week we were up there. Dream on.......
