Hi all! Here's to a happy new year to you all. Here's the selections. SP 4427 from r_i_straw an unusual Amtrak move from Hardcoaler a NS freight from co_riff and a CSX (or UP?) freight from BuddyBurton
We're used to it here. That train was a CSX run-thru empty westbound ethanol train interchanged in Chicago. Remember the former CNW double main still utilizes ATC with in-cab signals, thus the reason for a UP leader.
I believe the GS-2 was the first locomotive of a double head freight train judging by the train number on the number board. Second section of # 824 does not correspond with any passenger train that I am aware of.
We're used to it here, too. It was well below zero last night. Sometimes the visual impression from a photo just gives the feeling of being there, and feeling a bit chilled.
Nice work, again everyone, and thanks, Will for keeping this going. Russell, you have a great collection of photos.
