    This unit must be a slug. No exhaust, no radiator fan, windows blocked, etc.

    The Alco looks like it was an S2. Those Blunt trucks are a dead giveaway - and they're rarer than steam locomotives!

    The old EMD SW1 is still looking good - and it's in the good company of a GP7 in the background.

    Mike, thanks for answering my question with a better eye than mine. Strange they'd leave the cab, which is useless as a slug.

    Some slugs are cabin equipped, allowing locomotive and train control if set at the point of the powered units. But this closen cab switcher is indeed a mistery. ;)
