    Nice again to see everyone's work! I'm diggin' r_i_straw's BNSF photo -- a very nice composition with the vine-covered pole, combining modern railroading with a vestige of the old.

    I believe they were no longer in use at that time. They were salvaged and the poles cut down not long after that photo was taken back in October of 2007.

    That SW1500 is nearly 50 years old - she started her long life with TP&W. Still looking good!

    Of course NKP 587 looks glorious. Hope to see her on the rails again soon, back up to top shape.

    More good work, guys, and Will. First photo begs the question, where is and what is the condition of NKP 587 these days? Great little engine when it ran excursions.

    BoxcabE50 wondered about her too. She's out of service undergoing an extensive renovation at the Indiana Transportation Museum. She's been out of service since 2003. Yep, just a perfect fantrip engine.
