Posted this in another place here on TrainBoard, but thought I might as well include it in this topic as well:

Thanks Ken for posting. Fuuny but I'm not worried about the crossing gate. What caught my attention and curiosity, what locomotive were they transporting?

This thread never did belong to me, it's for you to submit and enjoy your favorite railfanning videos. All about having some fun.

Keep or should I say go ahead and post your favorite videos.

In other words it's up to you to keep this thread rolling.

Viewing number is up so a shout out of thanks for tuning in.

    I'm out of here.

The loco is C&O 1309. It is en route to Western Maryland Scenic for restoration to operation.

Here's another one of the little Maine RR operations. Thought I could find more about them, but only a couple seem available:

Not a lot of train action, in fact, just one. But thought the weather effect was interesting:

There's more action on the Harrisburg Line.

Trains on the Norfolk Southern Harrisburg Line Late Spring 2014

    Published on Jun 18, 2014
It's time for another installment of trains along the busy Norfolk Southern Harrisburg Line. The foliage has filled in and the sun is hot and the days are long, which allows a variety of trains and locations in daylight hours that are not possible during the short days of the winter, late fall and early spring. Plenty of foreign power and rare/older lead locomotives makes an appearance in this 25 minute video, which features 15 trains ranging from a variety of unit trains to mixed freights and hot shot intermodals. So sit back and enjoy the action of big freights grinding the former Reading mainline between Harrisburg and Reading, Pennsylvania.

Train information and video time stamps for navigation can be found by clicking You Tube in the Picture Frame.

What railroad got it's first charter with horses providing the traction power?

A section from Herron Rail's series "Glory Machines Vol. I" about the Pennsylvania Railroad. "Glory Machines" is pretty damn good, I must say. Lots of good vintage footage in here of PRR steam on Horseshoe Curve.

One more video featuring the Decapod.

I've always found the size of some Pennsy steam tenders to be quite interesting. I wonder what the economy was in those? Or if it was purely for greater range?

I was looking at that myself wondering what gives? Obviously less stops means a more efficient railroad. However, in this case I have no real idea what's going on.

For you N scale enthusiast it's time to get out the one B'mann's 4-8-4 tender I own and see if it will work with the one Pennsy stove I own. Grin!

One more from the N&W influence.

My response to taking her out of service. It was a sad day to see this happen. I'd give anything if N&S would bring both the #611 and the #1218 back into the stable.

One of those E units has a wheel problem. Flat spotted or worse. I note by the three minute mark, it must have been set out somewhere, as one is now missing and the train passes without a banging noise

An interesting chase. Some of the track seems to be in poor condition, some very good. Kind of has me wondering!

One side comment. A shame there is so much wind noise, as the old fashioned horn work is nice to hear. I wonder why so many fans do so poorly in equipping their cameras with a decent external microphone? Unless the camera has no provision to add something, it is not that expensive.

I had a chance to visit Michigan with a less then pleasant experience cross country skiing.

This next video starts out slowly with some views of light houses and then the trains get rolling.

*As seen on The Rail Channel:

This video is compiled with footage from many different time periods and locations. Some footage was filmed in late 2011, while other parts were filmed in early July, 2012. Much of CSX Transportation's main lines through the Northern part of the Midwest can be seen in this video. To start, we set up to film Amtrak's Pere Marquette at St. Joseph, Michigan on a late summer evening. While waiting for the train, we open with scenes of the North Pier Lighthouses as well as Silver Beach. We also caught the train again headed South in the morning at Stevensville, Michigan. This area of CSX's Grand Rapids Subdivision is extremely scenic and has, over time, become a popular vacation destination spot for many beach goers.

    Oops?

About 8:20 of this video there passes a CSX train, with a bunch of newly painted engines. Even a BNSF which looks fresh. I wonder what shop they come from?
