I took a recent trip to Nevada where I captured a few images between Mesquite and Las Vegas. We also stopped by the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Boulder City, Nevada. Feel free to post any of your Nevada railfan shots here. U.P. equipment spotted off of I-15. U.P. bridge crosses I-15. Ben

Upon arriving at the museum we found that they only run the trains on the weekends but they do leave the pavilion open during the week days. We were bummed that we couldn't go for a train ride but were happy to be allowed to explore the exhibits. First up we have U.P. 6264 which was formally numbered 264. Ben
Our visit was a little windy as you can see by the orientation of this sign. Next we have NSR 1000, an EMC NW-2. Ben
The SP engine looks to be in decent shape. You can tell it worked hard during a long career. The other one- Well, with money most anything can be restored. I hope the group has solid funding and a good core of volunteers. Boxcab E50

It sounds like they are planning to cosmetically restore the outside of their steam power but will not mechanically restore them due to costs. Ben
