Railfanning on Norfolk Southern's Winston-Salem District - Pomona Yard

Hey guys, I was just wondering If anybody here likes to do any railfanning on NS's Winston-Salem District. I see trains on this line all the time since I live not far from Starkey and Penn Forest. If anybody here would like to go railfan on this line sometime just shoot me an email, I'd like to see other parts of the line farther along south sometime. :shade:

I haven't done any railfanning between Greensboro and Winston-Salem... I know the "K" line starts at Greensboro (Pomona) and goes to Winston.

I should have clarified, I actually meant the line that runs from Roanoke, VA to Winston-Salem, NC.

 

Hello all, I am a new member here and I am near the Winston Salem area. I had planned a trip to railfan here but I would like to know if anyone has any idea of the best locations and how often do trains run. What is the hottest spot? Thank you all in advance for any help and information.
