    There seem to be some countries that still use steam locomotive icons in their highway grade crossing signs.
    I took this photo in New Zealand.

    We still have a mix in the U.K

    On the freight only Barrow Ramsden Dock branch the signs are very traditional

    68 003 Astute and 64 004 Rapid trundle along at walking pace towards the Nuclear Terminal

    Following some near misses ( People not closing the gates, Not phoning the the signalbox etc) the user worked crossing at Dunnerholme was upgraded and is now very hi-tech

    No shortage of information here! and a much more modern representation of a train

    Wow. The Japanese use 0-6-0s, New Zealand shows 4-4-0s and in the UK it is 4-6-0s.
