Surfing the web today, I found this website. I do not know if this has been posted before. There are several BNSF, CSX & NS Subdivisions to click and listen. For those of you who want to listen to the real thing. RailroadRadio.net is live railroad radio on the Internet.

I have heard of that before... they added a scanner feed for NS in North Carolina not too long ago. The location is about 150 miles away from me... things I don't usually hear on my scanner.

I joined that website, but I dont know if it is working or not. I have yet to hear anything on the stream I want to listen to(BNSF CHICAGO)
I know from personal experience that that division is pretty busy, heck , thats where I worked much of my career!
I dont get any indication if I am linked to the stream. Also I dont seem to be able to post anything to the message forum.

I think BNSF Chicago is not operating at this time.

 

I've been listening off and on for about a year now. Pretty good stuff from time to time.

 

Why are only certain locations on the air? There are no Texas locations. Some areas were pretty quiet over the holidays, but LA is busy 24 hours. Switching at night.

 

I have been listening in on this site for a long time now at least 2 years or more. I ususally only use the Joint Line link dont know about all of the others. I have listened to a few. Great site.
