I already had the herders, dogs and some sheep, about 70, from previous shopping trips at shows which most I bought at discount before prices started to go through the roof. The last two batches were bulk packs of 60 each that I found after some searching. I have a small compartmented box with just about all the figures I need for the rest of my modeling that range from fishermen to loggers that I have collected over the years. Even some deer which two got culled for the bunkhouse module venison feast. By the time I pick a suitable hill and spread out the flock over the side of the hill 60 or 70 can get eaten up fast. And of course with my warped sense of humor I am on the look out for a suitable Wily E. Coyote to be trying to sneak past Ralph the Sheepdog to place over in some bushes. I like to tuck hidden mini scenes in some of my stuff like the gentleman using the hollow tree stump in a logging scene because the Stinky Davises (old Marine term for outhouse) were full. Evidently somebody at Woodland Scenics has my same slightly perverted sense of humor in that they had a figure group that featured a funeral with a lady passing out being caught, and a hand coming out of the casket.
