    It would not surprise me if that flood took out the bridge at Doty. That area got hammered in the flood. On the former NP Willapa Harbor Branch the bridges at Milburn and Doty both got washed out as a result of this flood.

    Not speaking of bridges, but I bought a collection of B&W photos a couple years ago off Ebay that was listed as Chehalis Western, Weyco, and MILW. Well this photo as well as some from the penninsula operations and I think also the Marcellus Branch were in this collection.

    Here is another photo I found in my stach the other night. This one says it is at Pe Ell so if that is the case, did the MILW have trackage rights on NP through Pe Ell too? Or can someone give me more details on this.

    Could be near Pe Ell. Been too long now. Yes. They ran over BN, after abandoning their own tracks.

    Those were some sweet bridges.... What was the idea behind building a covered bridge. And wehre else may have one found one?
    Ya all got my brain spinning wit ideas...

    There was also a covered bridge that was fairly long crossing the Snohomish River at Monroe.

    Yep. So sad when the remaining steel was removed a few years ago.
