You have all seen pictures of this trailer that I completed in November 2022. I have added some additional decals to the trailer. The adds are top marker gallonages shown on the top rail for each compartment, trailer # on front end, license plate on rear bumper : The tractor that I just got in hand a month ago : Ooops, need to straighten up that TEXAS plate ! Here are the two, about ready to complete : As is normal the photos highlighted some brush touchup needs. I have some new rear view side mirrors, fender mounted rear view mirrors, as well as end of front bumper vertical markers, on order. The airbrushed color paints are Tru-Color and the chrome is from Green Stuff World. Windows are Gallery Glass. I airbrushed Delta Varnish on the two today and after a day or two of curing I will add on the wheels/tires and mirrors as soon as they come in. After 2 years with this project it is high time to finish and get on with my Crown Royal NASCAR hauler. Thanks for looking and above all be well !
Thanks to all for the "likes" and for following along on a 2 year project. It is finished except that I have some special mirrors and bumper markers to come by weekend, then it WILL be complete. A lot of fun but I need to get back to trains. As info - All Tru-Color paints, Green Stuff World chrome, all DIY decals, some Gallery Glass, all sealed with Delta Ceramcoat Gloss interior varnish. Oh, did I mention a little bit, just a tad, of Crown Royal, oops my current project. Not too shabby for an 84 yo with the aged hands and fingers, got to keep them going however.
No, I'd say not.....great work and good life plan . I'm 80 now and when I got back into this 4-5 years ago my hands shook a fair amount and N looked smaller than I remembered (even though I had some stored in boxes for 50 years). I wondered if I had made a mistake or not. I've found that the more I work with it the larger it has gotten and my hands are steadier most of the time. I think we forget that a lot of times it is muscle memory loss that we are experiencing as we age. Harder to keep or regain but if one forces themself to work with it and have patience they will be surprised in how much of it can come back. I can work with really small items now that wouldn't of been possible to work with a few years back. Push yourselves if possible. I also found that lifting 20+ pound bags was starting to get hard. For 3 years I've made myself work out for about 15 minutes every other morning with a rubber bungee with the handles on the end and also do some stretching exercises and squats. Can't lift 100 lbs feed sacks anymore but back to where 40# ones aren't a problem. Lots of days I don't feel like it but the more I keep at the more the habit forms to keep at it. Sumner
