I have an AZL RDC. It runs very well, but I noticed that the rear LED is operating intermittently. It is not flickering, it just works sometimes when going in reverse and other times it does not. I have not opened it to have a look yet. It is still very new and has had little break-in time. Other than that it is really nice. Anyone have this trouble or have any ideas? I am new to the Trainboard, but I have learned a lot from you all so far. Thanks again.
I would contact Rob Kluz about the warranty of the RDC. Sounds like something it's wrong with the pc board.
I haven't had that problem. But I would warn you, if you try to open the RDC yourself, be very careful. The drive shaft to the trucks will probably come loose, its easy to lose, challenging to reassemble, and unless things have changed, not available as a replacement part if lost. I second John's suggestion. Mark
Funny you said that. When I got my RDC, I open it to see what the chassis look like, but having having butter fingers, slip out of my hand and the RDC is in pieces. I was able to track down all the parts, but putting the drive shaft into the universal joint is hard. It took couple fits to get it to fits to get it just right, otherwise they don't fit in correctly.
