Now that my rr equipment has a layout to run on, I've been cycling through my locomotives to run, and repair. Some locos wound up stored on side, and excess lube oil from factory( ! ) has run onto the painted shell of a few. What's the best way to remove it with out damaging paint? Thanks, Joe D
Probably the most environmentally safe and the least damage to be incurred would be to use a solution of my old cleaning standby Dawn Dish Detergent and hot tap water. A very fine soft paint brush can be used to gently remove any oil from crevices without scratching the finish.
