Is there a good source for caboose chimneys/flue pipes? I have a hard time keeping them intact on my cabooses. Some my cabooses arrived (Ebay) with them already well-bent, and they never endure.

A source even in brass/ aluminum?

Moose seems to recall buying Atlas brand chimneys for to install in cabeese and heavyweight coaches.

See their Trainman line cabeese, item# 356005

Some of the detail parts manufacturers sell the metal versions. You can fashion them yourself from sprues. I have used both MTs and those fashioned from sprues. The only things that break more frequently are diesel locomotive and car stirrups. In the Show position, i would put horns.

The one-off actual King of Breaking Details is, however, the horn on the LL Eries. It is delicate and if it does not break, it simply falls off the locomotive I sold all but one of mine and made sure to let prospective bidders know if the original horn was there or something had been substituted for it. I had substituted new horns on the NYCs, as the Central used two horns on its. The Penn did use the single horn. I do not know about the others.
