Here's an interesting picture of the Milwaukee Road replacing rail. Notice the box in top of crane to protect from shorting out to the catenary.
Do you have a date for this view? Was it possibly 1971? 1973? I know there was simnilar track work those years.
I would have to check for sure with my uncle. It was taken in the early 70's I believe east of Three Forks, MT.
