The Rio Grande was known for "Short, Fast Trains". The Railblazer was no exception. It geerally ran 10-20 cars, mostly piggyback flats and COFC's. It has been seen with as few as 9 trailers and a single GP40-2, which makes it a perfect train to model. Train 102 eastbound would enter Denver about early morning, and 103 westbound would leave in the late afternoon. I would encourage you to visit: http://www.trainweb.org/railblazer/moffat.html and search for Train 102 and 103. If you have more Q's, the webmaster of that site, Mike Bateman would likely know more.

You might just want to get a copy of the 4thQtr 2008 Prospector from the RGMHS....15 page article by Frank Keller on the Railblazer.
