This is entirely new to me, sooooooooo im lookin for help on this old girl.

    should I keep it........display it........or sell it.

    A little background on it:
I got this along with 2 other boxes (3 boxes total) of train stuff from a friend of mine that cleans out houses. The 3 boxes contained older tyco stuff and this engine (came with a caboose too, but the engine had me at first sight).

I have ZERO knowledge on this scale, so im lookin for all the help I can get on it.

Anyways.....enough of me rambling on, heres the link to the pics (might need to copy and paste the link):

As it shows on the pictured tender, "American Flyer Lines", this would be "S" Gauge. What is the number on the engine cab? possibly 312?

The TYCO stuff is probably HO scale.

OK. The 312 is S Gauge. I'll move this over to that forum area.

Well, I am not the biggest expert on AF, but considering It looks to be in pretty rough shape (externally at least, but it does look pretty complete excluding the missing link coupler on the tender), it might be a somewhat hard sell if you were to sell it. However, a Flyer collector might purchase it either to fix up, or even break down and use as a parts source. As for pricing of it, that I can't really say as Flyer isn't my area of expertise.

at that point, I would take it apart, repaint it, put new decals on it and display it. IF it was perfect, it would be worth $125-150
