posted this on the N scale forum as well. RFD channel will air "the Moffat Route" tonite at 11:00 central if any of you Grande Rio fans are interested.
Unfortunately, RFD-TV is only available to limited numbers of dish users. And even fewer cable customers. Maybe some day.... Guess you guys will need to give us a review of the show tomorrow. Boxcab E50
Well, I used to have DISH when I was in Louisiana but when I moved to my house in Alabama I would have to cut down a couple of rather large trees to get a direct sight to the satellite. Anyway, I just wanted to let "sapacif" and "txronharris" that RFD stands for Rural Free Delivery and refers to the rural farms that would receive their mail accordingly. I have a number of videos I taped on railroads that was aired on this channel. I wonder how much it would cost to have a tree or two removed?
I saw the beginning. It did indeed look like a railfan video. There were some really big coal drags going over the Moffatt route. Should have been a good show. Thanks for the help in finding the channel.
Wow...that was a cool show. Rio Grande in the 80's befoe the borg took them over. One of the coolest parts was the cab shots from the canyon. You don't even have enough room to sneeze between the trains and the mountain. Hopefully those of you interested in the program were able to see it. RFD usually has a program related to trains every week or so. I'll post it again when it's coming back on.
According to Dish Network's programming guide, it will be repeated Saturday January 15 8:00AM and Sunday January 16 2:00PM, both Central time. [edit: time zone] [ 11. January 2005, 17:42: Message edited by: slambo ]
