Seen elsewhere on the net, and there are links to full stories, R.J. "Rick" Corman passed away today at the age of 58. Rick had been diagnosed with a form of cancer a few years ago. I have seen nothing but good stories about this guy, and it appears railroading has lost a true friend and a nice guy.
Here is a link to an article about him that Jerry DB posted on another venue. Rest in peace RJ. http://www.kentucky.com/2013/08/23/2782221/railroad-entrepreneur-rj-corman.html
I know first-hand that RJ Corman was a businessman. But more than that, he also was philantrophist(hope I spelled it right). RJ Corman Railroad Company will carry on without him being at the helm. I know they will, the company has been in existence since 1973(40 yrs). They will carry on. Rest In Peace Ricky Corman.
A good friend and the first man to hire me for a railroad job. His leadership and drive has helped make me the railroader I am today. He will be missed....
