Well saturday was an AMAZING day! Got to chase a steam engine for a ways. It was a very fun day but wears you out FAST. Here is a few shots I got of the Corman QJ this weekend! RJCC #2008 Leaving Nugent Sand RJCC #2008 Crew RJCC #2008 at St.Matthews with a crowd looking on! RJCC #2008 leaving St.Matthews,KY
I'm still hoping they bring it down to Bardstown for the Dinner Train sometime. I think the tourists around here would flock to it more than they already do now with the two FP7s.
I doubt you'll see the steam engine in Bardstown. Now from what I have heard, Rick is wanting to run the QJ once a week on the sand train! This would be pretty cool if he could do this.
Great photos Alex. In the cab shot, is the guy in the window the fireman or the engineer? In other words is 2008 driven from the right or left?
I'm right handed....but my Dad is left handed. However, I still wouldn't mind running from the left side of a steam locomotive.
Running from the left side would drive me insane. Going around and curve and passing a whistle post and not seeing it.
Alex, congratulations on having one of those shots selected as the Photo of the Day on Trainorders today. Good on you, man. :tb-biggrin:
Ooooop wailt now someone will have to get a Kato N steamer and do this!!! Now this will be prototype bening a Chinese steamer in the USA. Cool shots Alex!!!
