Marty, I think Ghengis was the one that asked you about the brand. But none the less, a very nice transition from a stock body!
Wooops...Sorry Allen, it was Ghengis,,,didn't pay enough attention...but then again, I'm too poor to pay attention!!!!
That's a possibility, although as a hard working FrankenAlco it just looks naked without a major coating of soot, oil and dirt -Mark
I dunno, pretty close but maybe slightly oversized. I filed mine down a bit so they wouldn't stick up so far. BTW, I'm finished. I went with a moderate amount of grime (couldn't resist), but not too much. -Mark
I don't know how these might have changed over the years, but the more recent pictures I have seen show quite a variety between the various units - 450 - No lettering, Rock Island logo on cab 451 - In-line lettering 452 - No lettering, no logo 453 - Stacked lettering 454 - Stacked lettering I've also seen pictures of 454 and 452 in the early 60's maroon / white-stripe livery scheme with art deco style lettering. -Mark
Mind you I'm not complaining or trying to nit pick, they just look a little big to me. But since they are the only ones available, I'm not going to complain, they're close enough for me. I stocked up on'em when I found them. LOL Over all they look great as does your model!
