Quite an adventure. What is more interesting is how this got on to video, at least the exterior shots. I see at the end credit to Dick Dorn and his son and Ryan Wilkerson, both well known railfans. They must have done some serious hiking on snowshoes or skis to get in there and photograph that operation.
They never said what happened to the flanger that got avalanche in. Did they just grind through it and spit it out?
