Hi Guys, Do any of you, especially ATSF guys know where the roof mounted rotating beacons were placed when the horn is on the cab roof.? In particular SD40-2's; Snoots and C30-7's. I have just installed one in one of my 'N' fleet but want to be correct. Thanks Bill
Bill, take a look at this site and picture of a former SD40-2. http://archive.trainpix.com/ATSF/EMDORIG/SD40-2/5026.HTM Santa Fe had their antena (Sinclair) on the cab roof of most of their equipment so a small bracket was usally installed so the beacon could be attached to the side of the cab.
