Any chance when this trip is done, we could see a map which traces the route(s) taken? Some of the pace names I have heard or read about, many others are completely unfamiliar.

BTW- Early last week on PBS "Rick Steve's Europe", one episode he went up that same tramway in Switzerland you'd shared earlier.

These last two photos, were they from a tour bus window? Or were you on a train?

Glad to see you back! I don't post much as I only "play" at rail roads. However your series is a must and was about to post, hoping nothing bad had happened. I much appreeciate you posts. Yes you were missed, but dont get too cocky ;-).

These are all shots out of our Bus window. This is a quota from my website to best explain what this chapter is about

This set of Images and Video Clips is a small subset of a much large Travel documentary from a trip Lisa and I took as part of a European Whirl tour by Trafalgar Tours. During this trip we visited 9 countries in 16 days. The images and video clips found here are of those that are RR related that I got in one form or another during the trip; sadly only in the Vatican City did I not catch any RR images to share. Some of the images were taken from the tour bus while traveling down highways at around 80 kph so they are truly grab shots. I have broken out this section of RRAdventures day by the day so it's easier to follow along in a Trip Report format. Don't miss a single day as they each day offers something different to enjoy.

LOL!!!! Is just nice to know one is missed and that folks are enjoying the topic

Ken/Darren - saw similar cars in Iraqi Railway service that were covered hoppers, so that'd be my guess.

Ah. Ok. Maybe it's all the other stuff in that view which made it seem un recognizable.

It's a type of hopper. Open top, but what service, I have no idea.
