I thought I would mention this here. Accurail will be releasing Seaboard Air Line autoracks later this summer. They are going to do them in one of the freight car brown schemes. They are doing both bi and tri level racks. Man, these would look so nice behind a model of SAL #17, the Tidewater.

Hey, is it O.K. for a guy named "Chessie" to say this? Great that the Seaboard autoracks will be available! It is nice that HO is getting some good autoracks; in N scale, currently, there are only the ConCor enclosed versions. [There was an article in N scale magazine on how to modify these]. Rumor has it we might see open rack from Micro-Trains, but it is just rumor at this point....

Thanks for your support for the SAL racks. Hey, tell you what, I will contact M-T and check out that rumor. I have worked with them in the past on some stuff and they are usually pretty straight forward with me. If the rumor is true I will be sure to suggest Chessie cars as well as SAL cars. How is that for a deal?

I am working with Model Power on a new engine that they are putting out. I will be supplying ACL, SCL and RF&P information to them for this engine which will be in N scale.

    Take care guys.

    UPDATE

I talked with the folks at Accurail the other day and these cars are 8 UPC numbers away from being done. Now, they generally do them one UPC number per month. You do the math. Looks like early next year before we will see these cars.
