Hi Folks: I am getting there on the tracklaying for my railroad, I am starting to look for references for colors of grass, trees etc around the area between LaVeta Pass and Monte Vista including the area around Alamosa. Unfortunately I'm not in a situation where I can travel right now, or I'd just go out there and burn up lots of electrons with digital phots. Do any of you have images of the area that you are willing to share, I've been through the railimages galleries, and of course google, but I'm specifically looking for images like railfans would take Thanks a whole bunch TIM

I suppose I went a little overboard, but I love researching La Veta Pass. It's even more unknown railfan photos wise, than the Moffat.
Im really excited to be modeling part of that area -- I actually picked the SLRG to model b/c I saw the Locomotive (#115) in a kato add on the back of MR and fell in love with the paint scheme. Once I have been able to start researching Ive fallen in love with the area -- I wish I had a warehouse to use to build in and be able to do it justice!! -- Because I want an operations layout, I dreamed up an alternate history to explain it having a whole lot more traffic than the line currently carries -- and sadly I dont have room to build LaVeta as it should be, but im having fun anyway TIM
