I'm having a ball making a trolley system. It's really challenging and rewarding forming and soldering each rail onto PC board ties. Of course there have been fits and starts. For instance that wiggle between the wye turnouts on the photo bottom. The upper turnout of that wye wasn't lined up as well as it should have been, so adjustments were needed. Actually the rail installation crew had to get around a preexisting manhole that the designers didn't realize was there. (Hey, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. )

I dug out my 60-year old drafting set and now am using the big compass set to the 6.125" radius for positioning track. That sure helps for laying out the turnouts. Once they're in place, you just connect the ends, adjusting and smoothing as needed.

Eventually the system will be powered from an overhead trolley wire. For the time being, you'll see the piece of wire stuck into the car's pole socket and clipped to the power supply. As we all know, for testing, ya dooze what ya gotta dooze.

I'd like to thank George Huckaby for all his help. I won't mention his company because he doesn't advertise with TB. But any of you who want to get into trolleys, he's the man to go to. (y) (PM me for info)
