For a few weeks now NS has been pulling in Autoracks behind the Steelton PA Pipe mill. About two days ago I saw they started to scrap them. I will try and get a picture but its going to be hard as its only viewable from the turnpike bridge.
there have been chopped autoracks (meaning just the flat car with racks torched off) in groups of 5 and 10 traveleing behind some coal traisn thru here, supposedly being stored for later. I assume that they are being done away with because of age.
