Here is an overview of Woodford looking Westward, (down hill). The lower tracks are Cliff Siding and Tunnel #6 (Daylighted in the 50's due to the earthquake, but exists out of necesity on my layout in 95'.) MOW activity as usual in one of the more easily accesed spots in the Tehachapis. Woodford is home base for the Tehachapi Mountain Work Train. Sludge containers used to dispose of the curve flange grease diapers and other contaminated materials sit trackside at Woodford. An SP water car sits on a spur in the background, along with a D&RGW flat and several Fairmont tie-handlers and a Swingmaster. And here is the Woodford/Keene transfer station. Looks like that guy has filled that dumpster to the max. And finally, the Third Crossing of Tehachapi Creek, a concrete arch culvert.
Brian - VERY IMPRESSIVE!!! You've captured the feel (and the details) of the area dead-nuts-on. I wish I still lived in Modesto - I'd love to see you layout in person. Great work
