I unwittingly asked the Controller to search for an Ethernet Port - but as I am running the Base Station on a Uno this was a bit of a mistake.

Now I find that I cannot run the controller at all - it always searches for IP address ...169, and I cannot see how to exit that search.

    Help!

    Thank-you

Hit s, brings up the scan pane.
Click scan, choose the correct port with the green left or right buttons.
    Click connect.

Thank-you - but neither 's' or '?' do anything, nor does any other key press or button hit!
I can only exit the Controller (top left red button).

do you still have the original zip that the controller came in? perhaps if you overwrite the buggy version with the original version. might me worth a try.

Was going to add something similar, the problem is much deeper if your keyboard is inactive.
As Travis say's, grab another copy.

Thank you all - downloaded and installed a new copy everything OK - seems like there is a bug in there waiting to be discovered.

PS I was about to embark on modifying the controller to suit my objectives. But I am having second thoughts.

If I have to reinstall a copy every time I do something silly and as result I have to redo my edits then it becomes a bit of a stopper!

Just do a little at a time and save the last working version in a sub folder.

That's how I progress through any major developments. If you break it, you've only to go back one step.
    Nothing to reinstall.

    Steve.
