    Thanks, Guys. I was 10-12 years old and living in Houston when my brother and I started collecting. He took me on one of his expeditions along the SP (T&NO) tracks through Alief. The poles were all down in the '60's so we had to grub around in the weeds. On another trip my grandmother drove us along the tracks and we got as far as Clodine when we spotted a pile of crossarms with insulators next to the tracks. Talk about Christmas in summer! That might have been the first time we found whole, undamaged insulators.

    You're right. I think it came from Mexico. It's in a box in the basement. I need to dig it out.
