With the influx of time tables & other rail road memorabilia showing up in the forum lately,I thought it time to start a thread on it. So show us all what you've got,memorabilia wise I'll kick it off with some DRGW item,naturally And for something different,
Okay, here are three items in my collection... First a timetable that I've got framed and hanging on my stairway wall: Next a flyer that was distributed to Super Chief passengers in 1946: Finally, a steal for $45 at the local antiques store, embossed lettering for CNW in the housing. Doh! the image won't display here, so here's a link to the image: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/68/CNW_brakeman%27s_kerosene_lantern.JPG
One other item that I got in Cincinnati at the National Train Show (okay, really two items, but one image)... If you look closely at the stamp in the lower cover, you'll see the letters "CBQ" in perforated letters on the stamp itself (what we call a "perfin" in philately). The perforated letters means that the stamp was purchased by the railroad and intended only for railroad use. I've seen similar perfins with "D&RG", and there are likely more for other railroads as well.
Seeing that Russell has uploaded a blank (pad?) of SP train orders, thought I'd share a rare one that was issued. From their UNIQUE log cabin office at Timber, Oregon during 1932: Boxcab E50
This could be a dangerious topic since I've got 695 images online right now in the DHVM that are just Memorabilia related. Let's start with something different by showing some CHINA used on the D&H. This first pattern is know as the "Adirondack" which is listed in Luckin China Patterns as D&H-1.
Let see, I also have 138 Publications list on the site. Here is one that talks to the first 100 Years of the D&H
If I were to dig out all my stuff, !!! Dunno how much there might be. Hundreds of timetables. Artifacts uncounted. And don't even get me started on train orders!!! There are about 13,000 of those available, all from different locations. My poor scanner might faint! Boxcab E50
I think I went through this before. How do you post a photo or a scan direct to the message thread? Or do you have to post to the photo site first? CT

Here is another CHINA Pattern used by the D&H known as the Canterbury which is Luckin China Pattern D&H-2a {Contains The D&H Seal / Shield}
How difficult is it to find a builder's plate from a super power era steamer? Dont all start laughing at once.... Thanks, Dave
Now and then a builders plate shows up on eBay. I have seen them at swap meets. In the past, a little more often, have seen them on the snail mail auctions. Such as (not affiliated with them) Railroad Memories. Boxcab E50 [ December 09, 2005, 11:35 AM: Message edited by: BoxcabE50 ]
Slambo, Those stamps and covers are really nice! It makes me fondly remember my stamp collecting days. Hmmm, maybe I should take a look at the 'bay...
It's interesting to note how many of us used to collect stamps. Myself included. Hmmm. I still have a box stashed away somewhere...... Should sell it for some train $$$. Boxcab E50
The D&H also used the stock Canterbury design known as Luckin China Pattern D&H-2b (RED), and D&H-2c (Blue) but you can not be sure those offerd on eBay are those used on the RR.
Don't know whether you would call this RR memorabilia or not. I collect research material, mainly of rail-related industries and scenes. But while going through an antique store bin of discarded personal snapshots, I found this one. Judging from a townscape picture that seemed to have been taken at the same time, same camera, etc, I believe this is probably at Taft, Texas on the San Antonio and Aransas Pass (SP subsidiary)
