Now in their seventh full month here, Mission Mountain RR has yet another engine. They began July, with their sixth unit. This time, a black, with yellow trim HLCX SW type. Couldn't get close enough, due to traffic. But it appears to be an SW-1500. Can't think of any reason for this changing. Those guys must be hard on their power. Boxcab E50
WATCO buys junk. What can I say? Ask the employees and they'll tell you the same. All kinds of blown turbochargers, cylinder and craskcase failures, etc... on the SD50's here on the A&O.
There must be some advantage in bookkeeping/taxes, to do it this way. I can't see otherwise that they're saving a single penny. Boxcab E50
