Does anyone have the size, specifically length over buffers, and the weight (in oz. or grams) of the various types of USA Trains cars?

USA Trains doesn't seem to publish that information and I only own a few of the 1:24 woodside reefers myself.

I'm looking for this information for the

    1:29 40-ft reefers
    1:29 50-ft reefers

right now and eventually for all types of USA Trains cars.

Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

I did make a section for that in my USA Trains Registry thread of the lengths of what rolling stock that USA Trains gave that info on. The link for that info is here >

Good luck on the weights however, USA Trains didn't think it was all that important to list weights.

    1:29 40-ft reefers > 17 inches
    1:29 50-ft reefers > 21 inches

I also made a index on the last page of the USA Trains registry to make it easier for anyone including me to find information that was already posted.

The 14 3/8 length listed for the American Series boxcar is only the length of the body itself - at least that's what I measure on mine.
But when I talk about car length, I always mean the length including the buffer on European cars or to the pull face of the knuckle coupler for North American cars.
Do you know if that posted length for all the USA Trains cars is just the actual length of the car body? Then I could just add 2 inches to include the coupling at each end.
That would make the 40 and 50 ft reefers 19 and 23 inches respectively.

I'll check into it and measure out one of mine.

    That would be great.

I just measured a depressed-center flat car, R17320. The other type of car I have.
It measures 16 3/8 for the basic body and 18 inches coupler-to-coupler (with LGB couplers, knuckle my be a bit different).
The listing in this thread shows 18 5/16, so for this car the measurement posted is definitely not just the body itself but does include the couplers.
