Are the Ski Train F40s going into service next weekend? Heard they were in Denver now and were to get lettered for Rio Grande. Have seen pictures of the unlettered units while in transit. How about a picture of the lettered units, hint, hint.

    Hi all,

The newly painted FP-40's are indeed scheduled to go out with the ski train the first weeekend. If you want to see some pictures, go to the D&RGW e-groups site and look in the files. If you are not a member, you may have to sign up to look in the files.

The 16th is a Saturday. I will put up links to any pictures I find. the only problem with that, it will be Monday before I can get the links up. I just have to go to Helper for the weekend [IMG].

So THAT's what Rio Grande woulda used if they were still running their Zephyr!

I'm also very much relieved- for a while there I was afraid they would be in black with orange lettering.
