Does anybody know if a Marklin 0-6-0 steam locomotive chassis will work on Rokuhan 70 mm radius track ? Otherwise what is the smallest radius the 0-6-0 would be able to navigate? And would the 0-6-0 work on 55 mm 26 degree switches?

    Thanks,

The 0-6-0 takes the 70mm radius curves like it's on rails....give credit where credit is due to the marklin couplers for allowing it to pull a car twice as long around those hairpin curves. Switches? I've always found the 0-6-0 requires one or more helper engines from the Five Finger Line to get through points.

Excellent! So sounds like if I want to use MTL couplers, I would need to make an articulating draw bar to attach the coupler to. What if I use truck mounted 40 ft and 30 ft cars?

I have used my 0 6 0 on 2 1/2" radius with no problems. Only the short Marklin two axle cars will negotiate that tight radius easily.

Thanks Loren, that's exactly what I was hoping to hear.
