    Hi RRfan,
Did you 'clean off' any mold flash from the plow before installing it?

Does the plow instructions require you to remove any material or appliances from the engine shell before fitting the plow in place?

Check a photo of the real engine to make sure you have the plow at the proper angle relative to the rail tops. The bottom is straight across, and usually 5" (.058") to 8"(.092"), above the rails when at rest on flat track for HO scale.

If the couplers are too low, you might shim the shell up to correct coupler height, and solve the problem, see?
If the coupler is at the correct height adjustment at both ends of the engine, then you probably will have to file off the bottom of the plow to suit, that is assuming you have installed the plow in the correct position.

The only thing I can think of, might be the rails are too tall? DUH!
    (OK bad joke, huh?) :D

    i thought it was funny

there was no mold leftovers and the coupler is at the write height maby i
should file it down the directions said to put it on in the socets
mabie i used it too much and did some ware down on the wheels
(i run it two times evory day)

i am just going to shave a scale cm off of the plow and make pockets so the rail can
slide rite in the pocket when it hits a ruff spot or goes up a grade
(little railsized slits above the rail so it doesent rub)

That might work on straight track, but you probably have derailed at a turnout by now.

Try adding a couple of K-D's washers to raise the shell a bit above the track, (enough to clear over a turnout at least.)

Don't get discouraged, we will stick with you until the engine runs like it should! :D

i did not make the pockets
i made the pockets on paper and held it up to the plow it did not look the way it should
it got airborn last night on a raised connection on the east (RR east)
rail the rear flew up in the air and the coach got under it
i almost had a heart attac i thought it was going to fly off
after an hour after that i finally got it shaved enouf so it can get over the connection
it is raised now about 1 inch in scale estemaited
i am going to get some K-Ds washers next time i go to the trainshop
i might grab a new snowplow if the washers fail
if nothing works than theres a delay
now i am using a cp sd40-2 long nose foreward because of the black and white
    safty stripes

    thanks
