Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, I was enroute to & from Okie City for the train show there, and during this trip I and my friend Ray Hamm stopped at Shawnee and a couple of places in OKC to shoot some Santa Fe goodies, among other things.

First up was this awesome-looking depot in Shawnee:

Located on the east side of downtown, this depot is now a museum.

Behind the depot were three pieces of rolling stock:

This tank car, first built in 1915 (according to the build date I spotted on the side), was last used in MoW service to haul potable water. Note the fishbelly center sill.

This is NOT ex-Santa Fe- it came from the Louisville & Nashville, and was painted & lettered for ATSF with funds supplied by Pratt Foods ( which explains the obvious advertising on the caboose side).

This crummy, however, is the real deal:

    Ce-4 caboose 999097. Doesn't look too bad.............

Here's two more, shot at the Oklahoma Railroad Museum in OKC:

Not sure of the number, but it's in primer colors awaiting a new coat of red paint.

FP45 90, in Super Fleet colors, donated to the museum by BNSF. The paint is showing the effects of sitting in the Oklahoma sun.

And one more, this time at the Stillwater Central (former Frisco) yard:

All traces of Santa Fe lettering painted over, South Kansas & Oklahoma 1101 sits in the yard.

When I first looked at that bay window I thought you had caught a Santa Fe oddity. Well, yes you did but not a Santa Fe prototype. You got me... if but for a second or two.

I hate to see old 90 sitting out there shedding her paint. Same goes for our 95 that sits outside the Harvey House, W.A.R.M. rail museum, Barstow, Ca..

Nice pic's and thanks for sharing.
