We travel to SD quite a bit. Thought I would share some shots. The railroad stopped service along this route a long time ago but the businesses are still there and operating. There are more sots on my site. [IMG] [IMG]

    Great shots!...thanks.
The concrete 26 silo is beautiful!
It's just begging to be modeled.
Do you remember where that shot was taken?
    Thanks,
    Bill

What other traffic was there on the line from Norfolk to Winner? Looking at those prairie skyscrapers, it would seem that at least seasonally, the C&NW could have made a few dollars on the branch. If my memory is correct, they did zero maintenance, and the tracks fell apart.

The white silos are in Dallas, SD and the second shot is Colome, SD. Here are a couple more, first one is Winner, SD and the second Gregory, SD. [IMG] [IMG]

Just checked your website. Very nice indeed!
Now the locations and rail line are known.
    Thanks again.

Please do! It would be interesting to see what they are running at present. Don't they have a restored mallet?
