    Howdy all,
I saw on IHC's website that they have an 8 car set of SP passenger cars in the 'Sunbeam' paint scheme. Can anyone enlighten me as to what this scheme looks like? I have a friend who wants to buy the set, but he thinks they are painted like the 'Daylight' cars. They have a thumbnail picture on the site but you really can't see the colors too well. I cautioned him not to buy until he knows for sure, but he's gettin' jittery, tax money burnin' a hole in his wallet an' all. Any help would be appreciated!

If he really wants to spend some money check out this website. It is the brass version of the Sunbeam by Coach Yard. It has a pretty good picture of the train. It is in the Daylight scheme. http://www.thecoachyard.com/Pages/Sunbeam.html

    Hee hee,
Thanks for the link ncng. I showed it to my buddy, (good thing I keep smelling salts near my 'pooter), his reply, (when he came too), was "didn't pay that much for my car!" (this is true!). I know his tax refund wasn't that good, (so does his wife!). So I think the IHC cars would be a good investment, do you agree? :D

The IHC cars are fine. I have 3 sets of the Rivarossi cars which are identical with the IHC brand. Make sure to get them with interiors, it really makes a difference.

Also, if they don't come with metal wheel (mine didn't) you really should change them to 36" metal. I had to file down the brake shoes to get them to fit.

I body mounted kadee couplers but you need wide curves for that. I have minimum 30" mainline curves and have had no problems. I had to do some cutting on the trucks of the RPO and Baggage cars so that they didn't hit the coupler pocket.
