Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone could help me with the over-all dimensions of SP's yard and road slugs, primarily their yard slugs. I need dimensions, like hood length and height. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I know their TEBU's were converted U boats, like U25B. The frames were re-used, so length over couplers should be the same as a B trucked U Boat.
With the known truck wheelbase(s) you should be able to scale out the dementions you need if you have a decent side on photo. You could even reduce/enlarge the photo until the truck wheelbase is exact for your scale. then you can just measure off the photo with your scale rule. Hope this helps...
Great idea on sizing the pic to scale. Might use it sometime. In the meantime I once built an N guage slug based on one of the C630s they converted. I just best guessed hood height from pics. Was even able to motorize it. 9mm can motor. Still have to put on handrails though. Still turned out pretty cool looking.
