Earlier this year the St.Coix Valley Railroad (SCXY, aka "The Skally Line") ceased operations due to a broken bridge pier on the bridge over the Snake River in Pine City, MN. Thanks to a $750,000 federal stimulus bump the bridge was repaired by Redstone Construction and the SCXY has resumed service. The SCXY is the lifeline to the Cargill owned Horizon Milling plant in Rush City, MN.

A suprise when I saw the ILSX GP9 1363 this evening. While the line was shut down Independent Locomotive Service (ILSX) had the GP repainted in the colors of the original owners of the line, Northern Pacific. Special thanks to ILSX for the new paint.

I took the photo at the SCXY Corporate HQ in Rush City. Sorry the photo isn't better, I didn't have any sunlight to work with.
