I have been sent this photograph of an 89ft flatcar with "Stac-Pac" boxes/containers on it. Anyone know anything about these, like when they were running, what they were used for, etc.?

A Google search turned up something about materials being compressed into bales, so maybe these are just covers to keep them dry, etc. or they could be fully enclosed containers, although I don't see any openings.

    Stac-Pac

It would make an interesting model [IMG]
