After taking some time off to remember JT's contributions to D&H History it's time to get back to the Steam Era roster topics. #152
Very nice Darren! What kind of firebox is that on them lokies? Looks a bit like a droopy belpaire. I don't recall seeing them like that before. Happy railroading! Russ
Sorry, don't know that level of detail. These units however are rebuilds of D&H E-5 Class engines and some are part of more than one. Scratch Building and the ultimate scale.
Russ, I was going to ask the same thing. Maybe they are Wooten fireboxes, or boiler tube. Are they the same thing? They look like pretty big engines for 0-8-0's. Darren, what did they weigh in at?
I'm sure I have that information at home so I will look that up. Yes, these are 0-8-0's and where rebuilt from I believe 2-8-0's but I will check that as well.
