    I love the sound of a steam whistle blowing in the distance. I live on a small island and hear the ferry horn blowing all the time. It tells me something's going on nearby. It's not a steam whistle but it's the same feeling. I heard train whistles when I was a kid.
    I have an Ashton whistle. It's a small one but I did get to hear it couple of years ago at a Steam-up. I would have more but they seem to be very pricey!

    I'm going to post articles, pictures about the whistles. They were everywhere back in the day. Locomotives, Steamships, factories, to name a few.
    Anyone on this site have a whistle? Put a picture on this thread.
