BNSF Vancouver WA. Yard has tons of Green and Black. Mainly 39Ms and a couple Switchers. there's also stuff in H1 colors. Most of the stuff on the Big unit Trains is GE H2 though.
6377 is an SD40-2....There is a Green Unit actually 2 of them in Bellingham right now! as switchers. I remember now Beaumont, I was curious to where you went that explains it...Have a good one ya'll. Getting ready to head to work at the bid red bullseye
BN 7812 SD 40-2, White Face, Burlington Northern spelled out on the side of the carbody, was at Ferry ( South Sioux City , NE) June 22 behind ex ATSF SD 40-2 BNSF patch on a emty grain on Ferry Middle. Got some pictures of her.
After comming home from Galesburg yesterday, I have seen a lot of the green and black stuff.I am happy there is so much atill out there. But I also swa that they are still BNSF'ing all of it.Just hope the paint shops don't get to it anytime soon. Thanks for all of the reply's.Keep em comming...
speaking of bn out there, i noticed that most of the old yard stuff is now equipped with that stupid radio control device. all i heard on the scanner this weekend was a bunch of complaining about how bad this stuff delays switching and several problems yet. thank you utu.
Hmmmm Mitch the UTU didn't sign up for remote control the Railroads did.The UTU just has the option for the contract on it due to it being run by switchmen. The BLE wants the contract just as bad.It is being used in east yard right now.It only proves the Railroads will spend a million dollars to save a buck.
i don't know the ble reps i talked to in galesburg hate it and the bnsf is only making guys with low seniority run it because the older guys they say are protected and don't have to do it, according to the contract. oh well anymore unions aren't worth the paper the contract is written on with the railroads, they will do with you want they want and your union leaders are letting them do it......
