I have Athearns Tsunami The 911 first responders edition that was running fine. upon trying to reverse direction it flashed all its lights and would not run. I cut the power to it and it would run forward but every time it is asked to reverse it flashes its lights and stops. Any help would be appreciated on fixing this.
Do you have a test track to test the model on? Is this happening on the layout? On DC? I would start experimenting and testing to see if the decoder is at fault, or if the layout control has something to do with it. You may want to perform a factory reset as well.
Soundtraxx makes the Tsunami. You can contact them, and tell them what happened. I had the sound chip blow in one, and they sent me a new Tsunami after inspecting the one that fried on me.
