    Quiet? More like dead. Thank you Roger for posting that photo of a New York Central locomotive. Sure wish that the NYC had preserved some more. :teeth:

    Interesting thing about 7741 is that she looks as modern as those built in NW's Roanoke shop some 25 years later.

    You know it's an interesting thing, When I was younger I went to the South Anderson Yard and saw the turntable there. Most of the Roundhouse was already gone. I took no photos. Arrrggghh!

    Did the 0-8-0's ever see service in the East? Almost every 0-8-0 picture I've seen was in the mid-West.
