There must be lots of blue & yellow bonnets still out there, but all I suspect, will by now have been sub-lettered for BNSF, and renumbered. - But they still look great! ------------------ Alan The perfect combination - BNSF and N Scale! www.ac-models.com Andersley Western Railroad Alan's American Gallery Alan's European Gallery Alan's British Steam Gallery
The cover story of this months TRAINS Magizine is about the new KC yard. Seems to be alot of Yellow-Bonnets left, but they are renumbered. Look for the pics of the Northtown "Parking Lot" Yard in this forum. Just reset your numbers of days viewed. ------------------ RAILROADING-TO-THE-MAX, Burlington Northern/Santa Fe Style! Are any still surviving unpatched? I shots several Yellowbonnets in Cheyenne, WY: Here's one at night:
I don't have a source, but I've read there are none unpatched. I caught some warbonnet C44s unpatched here and there last few years, but I bet by now those are gone also.
Going to Lindenwood yard in St. Louis tonight. Might see a few there. I will let you know. There are several still around owned by lease companies.
